This top is worked in a combination of stockinette stitch (the sides) and herringbone lace pattern (front and back). It is worked in the round so the stockinette is a breeze; also every second round of the herringbone pattern is knit stitches only. For those of you who love purl stitch it will be fun to work the parts above the arm gap since those parts are worked in rows.

The herringbone pattern is fun yet challenging - easy to memorize and work, difficult to read the work, to fix mistakes, to pick up dropped stitches.

Shoulders are joined with 3-ndl bind-off. No seaming necessary. All edging/trims are worked integrally with the main vest/top, which means that when you are done, you are done :slightly_smiling_face:

The pattern is written in 6 sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL

It is important that you make a gauge swatch and to measure your body to figure out which size to make. If you don’t get the gauge, it is suggested that you change the needle size.

Worked in Isager Yarn, Trio, which is a lace weight pant fiber blend yarn, consisting of 50% linen, 30% cotton, 20% bamboo - it is a gorgeous yarn with a little shine to it. A wonderful yarn for hot and humid weather. Knitted on relatively large needles, US 5/ 3.75 mm, it gives a very light, gauzy, open texture and the garment flows and drapes beautifully.

100 g / 2 skeins for size XS, S, M
150 g / 3 skeins for size L, XL, XXL
